Disney has long stood via it relatively is determination to certainly no longer launch this action picture. they have released songs from it on the Disney Sing-A-Longs. it relatively is not a lot that this is a racist action picture ... it basically deals with slavery in a manner that in the time of recent times could be seen an thoughtless portrayal to boot as in all probability racist via immediately's standards. I remember loving the action picture as a toddler ... yet i do no longer think of i've got seen it in 25+ years. I remember Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox and a few great songs. i think of if I observed it immediately, regardless of if, it would possibly no longer be as lovable as I as quickly as theory it replaced into.

Yes it should be restored and released to DVD. One of Disney's best films and a historically significant piece of cinema.
History lesson - it has been released for non-theater consumption. Disney/Buena Vista was one of a few distributors who made films available for rental on 16mm for schools and churches in the dark days before VHS. That is one potential source for bootleg copies. It was also released on Laserdisc for the Japanese market (the most likely source of bootleg copies).

Yes!! I loved that movie when I was little! I loved the characters, the voices and the general funniness of the story! That was great and I would love for my kids to experience it!
