This question will never have a definite answer ..it falls to personal preference
there have been many great players all of which were amazing in there own rights however it is simply impossible to determine the best ever due to the obvious defficulties involvin comparing players from different eras and also the fact that many great players were so good because of there unique individual attributes
Forexample
All the goals pele scored may make him the best scorer and finisher of all time whereas Maradona's ability to beat 6 or 7 players on one of his mazy dribbler may make him the best dribbler of all time...Some other players may be also good at tacklers passing heading and goalkeeping..

Have you heard Maradona's nickname as the "hand of God"?
He cheated, with both arms, in the World Cup. He is not an ideal soccer player. Also, in the 1994 Olympics in USA, he used illegal substances.
Pele scored a World Cup age at 17, he is a hard-working player and does not cheat nor use drugs.
Pele is naturally better because he is Brazilian and does not cheat.

Though Pele was more artistic with the ball,Maradona was a better in some aspects. He was consistent and never went out of form. But on the other hand,Pele was also a great legend. He scored Brazil's 100th goal. One of the few succesful Black players of the time. There really cannot be any comparison drawn between them.

It is a very complicated question to give answer to. Pele and Maradona, two little gods of football. It willbe stupid and fallacious to verify that who's the better player. They are players of two different times. They are just a subject of quarrel between the Argentine and Brazillian supporters all over the world. Both of them are great legends. The must be admired not compared.
Thanks.

Pele was the best he could see better than any one.. his peripheral vision was off the charts. both great players but Pele was the best. Maradona is now very fat and Pele is still fit.Not that this matters and Pele still is promoating soccer,

Maradona.
He did not only score but was also involved in the building of goals and often played a more central role in comparason to Pele who was excellent at scoring but was not the pivot of the team at the heart of the midfield.

Pele... come on, he was a joke on Family Guy, that means he's more important. And cooler.
And besides who the heck is maradona anyway? He's noone compared to Pele! No one else has his skills.
