I can...I visited my mom in Arizona, at dusk these little bats fly around the neighborhood. I can feel a ticking pulse in my eardrums as they approach it gets more and more intense. I can hear them coming before I can see them, when they are right above me, the clicking is almost unbearably loud. It is very fast, kind of like an old telephone ringing. Anybody else experience this?

some of thier vocalizations can be heard by people...especially younger people who can hear high freqencies better than older people. They do however make other noises that cannot be picked up by the human ear at all, but can be picked up by bat recorders specifically designed to amplify their calls so that we can record and hear them.

The ticking pulse you hear is how they see when they are flying around. I've only heard it once before when a small bat got trapped in my basement, and flew all over the place looking for a way out until finally I found a way to get it to the door and outside. However, I did not find it unbearably loud, I could barely hear it at all. Most of the time the flapping of it's wings was louder, which itself wasn't very loud at all. You must have very adapt hearing.

yes, especially "bull bats". they swoop down from 300' at dusk to catch a skitter. you can hear the distinct sound of them traveling so fast.

Although their squeaks are super sonic you may be able to hear reverberations at a lower frequency.
