i like pete's songwriting over dave's. but ray's voice over roger's.
overall if were are talking just up until '69 i'd go with the who. both bands were great for the mod era and both were big fans of each other. but if i had to choose listening to "my generation", "the kids are alright", "i can't explain" or listening to "all day all night", "you really got me" i gotta go with pete, rog, keith and ox. no questions. plus post mod era the who gave us much better music than the kinks. i'd take quadrophenia, who's next and by numbers over anything else the kinks did in the 70's.
