Because SKY are not interested in anything except money, money and more money. EVERBODY should cancel their subscription and force them to be a normal company, with reasonable prices, you can only watch one channel at a time yet you have to pay for a whole package that are of no interest. As for HD, its a joke, they wouln't stand for that in the US, or probably anywhere else, just the UK.

It is so expensive because of idiots like me who payed for it with no questions asked , but have since cancelled sky as I was watching the same films and programs I was watching years and years ago. I am in the process of installing a euro dish can watch all the programs free as the dish is motorised it can pick up sky for free an x sky installer is doing it for me.

i have experienced problems of failed recordings occassionally. the out of sync thing can be mildly irritating but if you hit rewind for a split second it re-aligns itself. also, always around 11.45 pm it seems to get stuck, go into loading software mode and then i find i have lost some or all of my recordings. having said that though when it works it's very good. i watched get carter last night from a couple of weeks ago. brilliant !!
