Try LuLu.com they have some free downloads
Amazon.com some books you can read the 1st chapter

Go to the library. (for heavens sake)

The librarian can direct you to any subject or genre you might be interested in.

They have books on tape you can listen to if you have trouble reading for long periods of time. (My mom gets me to get these out for her).

You might be surprised at what you'll find.

Go to your local library. They sometimes charge a one-off fee for joining, but it is free after that!
