Do a cheesy red double decker bus sight seeing tour that takes in all the main sights and attractions. I've never done one, not being a tourist, but i think you can jump on and off them so when you arrive at a spot you'd like to look around for longer, just hop off the bus. There's heaps of companies- that do the tourist tours - but u should be able to get leaflets at your hotel or tourist info. Also take in a west end show, i saw Chicago in July and enjoyed it, and a night out maybe up the London eye, then a meal then onto a few bars or club.

Spend an afternoon walking the south bank of the river from the Tower of London to Westminster and then Buckingham Palace if you've still got the energy. You'll see the Tower, Tower bridge, HMS Belfast, the Tate modern, the millennium bridge, Waterloo, Westminster, the new London assembly building, the millennium eye, Trafalgar Sq........ lots to see. Greenwich is lovely too - great view from the park. Should be enough to keep you busy. Oh, and all the museums are free now. Enjoy!

Bit clichéd but a trip on the London Eye is good. Depends what you like. If you like museums and culture the natural history museum is fascinating (I could spend a whole day in there) and the Saatchi Gallery is good for contemporary art (and not as weird as everyone makes out). Try some London websites such as timeout.co.uk and viewlondon.co.uk closer to the time to see if there are any specific events on at that time.

At the moment, the one to see is Spamalot, the Monty Python one. If you want a play, The Woman in Black is supposed to be really good, and quite scary too!

You'll never see anything better than We Will Rock You.

I've been a Queen fan for years and was a bit dubious about whether I would enjoy it. I had to put on a brave face, my wife bought me tickets for my birthday last year. Luckily it was FANTASTIC!
