when you consider the things that he has done, even to the people of his own nation (the Kurds), the punishment seems to fit his crimes. perhaps those that have the "warm fuzzies" for Hussein now should educate themselves on his life's work.

The people who are on his side could use him as a marter so politicaly I think he shoud've been put in solitary confinement for the rest of his life.
Also hopping or even cheering for death even for someone as evil as him still creeps me out. Last night on the David Letterman show the clapping audience sort of gave me the creeps. Don't u think it's creepy?

I don't know why but I kind of felt bad for Saddam. I do not like him or anything. I hate what he has done, but does anyone really deserve to be put to death?
Hey, if I was in such a position as our authoritites, I'd be torn. I think Saddam should be punished for what he has done and another part of me thinks no one should be put to death.

Many "civilized" people today think that modern methods of execution are more "humane". But it's only because these methods put the condemned to sleep or paralyzes them first. We don't see the condemned's agony, that makes it "humane", for the viewers.
