What questions should i ask at my first doc appointment which happens to be this afternoon?

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.

Anything and everything. Don't be embarrassed by any questions, I'm sure your doctor has heard it all and will be very happy to answer any question. A good idea is to keep a notepad with you so that you can write questions down as you think of them, and then bring it with you to your appointment. Best of luck!!

Make sure you ask what you can and cannot eat, what you can and can not smell, and what kinds of excersices you should do to maintain healthy weight. Also ask about any changes you have experienced that you have noticed. When I was pregnant I learned that I should not drink soda or inhale acrylic and cat litter. You will be surprised.

Anything you want to know. I'm sure you have a few questions in mind. Just ask no matter how "dumb" you think the question is. They will most likely tell you your due date, but if they don't, you can ask that.

Being a woman we are inclined to worry about our weight. I was during my pregnancy. Ask what your ideal weight is and how much you should gain during your pregnancy. Also see if they will give you free prescription prenatal samples.

There's not much you can really ask at this point, just listen, as the Dr. speaks, you will have questions, trust me.
