If you know what keeps you awake, then you only need to eliminate that in order to sleep. I empty my mind and worries out of my head to sleep at night. I just mentally chose to decide that worrying isn't going to help me or the situation and that I am better off getting a good night's sleep. And when tomorrow comes, the answers will come with tomorrow. This puts me to sleep quick and gives me a more peaceful rest.

3 glasses of wine, or being kept up late the night before chatting with a friend. (who shall remain nameless) That will make me sleep for days on end.
