When you have a true friendship with someone it means you can trust them and they trust you. It means you can be your true self and they still are your friend. It means you enjoy each others company no matter what you are doing.

Acceptance! Knowing the good and the bad of the friend and and accepting them.Willing to work for the friendship.
Being able to forgive and forget when wronged. Knowing how to listen without judgment or giving advice until asked.

Loyalty is number one in my opinion.
Trust, Compassion, Empathy, Thoughtfulness, and knowing you can call them at 4.am with a problem....are all also important.

offer yourself in the truest sense. let them know who YOU are and be honest. be kind,loyal, understanding and helpful. nebver steal, manipulate or abuse.most importantly respect. these are the requirements i have for a real friend
