I would go for the tests. A degree is more important than your present job, as it will open up more opportunities.

You wrote that you have been at your work for years, and you need to do your tests for school so that you will get your degree. My question is, "do you want to still be at the same job for more years?" This will happen if you do not do the tests. If I was this close to having my degree, NOTHING would stop me from taking the tests. You will be able to find employment with starting out pay far above minimum wage and advancements, and lots of great benefits, as a lot of companies and businesses want employees to have degrees in certain fields. Why would you want to throw away all your hard work? GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TESTS.

Most surveys show that for each year of education you have, you will make much more $$$ over the course of your life time. You will also have more options and access to better jobs and careers. So, as a general rule, you need to focus on getting through college. Especially if your current job is just a job, and not a career.
If your current job is something that will grow into a career, then focusing on the job is perhaps advisable. But, I would still not completely blow off college. Even if your current job is a career path, having a degree will help you in your advancement.

College, by far. You might not be rich for a few years, but if you have a job instead of college, you'll get stuck and will never be able to go back. You might end up working as a secretary or a waitress untill you retire. Live with your parents or close relation. Maybe you can babysit and in return get lodging and food. Finish school first, its the number one priority. These extra couple years can make you much happier down the road. Good Luck!

School tests!! With those passed and out of the way, you open doors for more and better jobs in the near future. By going to work and missing those tests, you have to retake the classes because you failed to uphold your obligations. If you have been at your job for years, then I am sure your manager/supervisor will understand why you need to miss a couple of hours from work. Go to class.

College. A job is a job. Your degree will determine the rest of your life. Certainly there is another option here like call your boss to see if you can come in late, use the time to study and everybody is happy!

Discuss with your boss the importance of your college education to you. If they are going to fire you if you take the tests, quit first. Get an education and go back and buy his business later! If you were my daughter, I'd tell you to go to college. Another job will turn up.

College. Jobs can be a dime a dozen, your employeers will not show you the same loyalty they expect out of you. You need to develop you own skills, then choose who you want to work for.
