Now, wait. Are you saying I'm to EXPECT to be stranded? In that case, a gun to shoot whoever is going to strand me.
If I were stranded by accident, I'd consider myself lucky to find anything at all of value in the wreckage, and would spend my days combing the beach for whatever I might find I could use. They wouldn't be very many days if there was not food or potable water on the island, of course, so I would have to search for that. And a means to make fire.
But I'm old and out of shape, so I suspect I would simply die.

My laptop, so long as I could have it WiFi enabled. Heck, I could enjoy my stranded time by ordering books from Amazon and chatting with my friends online; what more could anybody ask for? =)
