I need help factoring this out. I tried that guess and check strategy and it's driving mecrazy. PLEASE HELP!
2x^2-5x-12
2x^2+10x-72
x^2+5x-6

2x^2-8x+3x-12
2x(x-4)+3(x-4)
2x+3 = 0 or x-4= 0
x = -3/2 or x = 4

2x^2+10x-72
2x^2+18x-8x-72
2x(x+9)-8(x+9)
x = 4 or x = -9

x^2+6x-x-6
x-1 = 0 or x+6 = 0
x = 1 or x = -6

2X^2 - 5x - 12= (2x + 3)(x - 4)

2x^2 + 10x - 72 = (2x - 8)(x + 9)

x^2 + 5x -6 = (x + 6)(x - 1)

2x^2-5x-12
=2x^2-8x+3x-12
=2x[x-4]+3[x-4]
=[2x+3][x-4]
2x^2+10x-72
=2x^2+18x-8x-72=2x[x+9]-8[x+9]
=[2x-8][x+9]
=2[x-4][x+9]
Please try doing these
problems yourself. It is so
much fun when you get it right
x^2+5x-6
=x^2+6x-x-6
=x[x+6]-1[x+6]
=[x-1][x+6]

=2x^2-8x+3x-24
(2x+3)(x-4)

2.2x^2+10x-72
=2x^2+18x-8x-72
=(2x-8)(x+9)
=>2(x-4)(x+9)

3.x^2+5x+6)
x^2+3x+2x+6
(x+2)(x+3)
