I can't say I trust that. To paraphrase Bill Maher, yeah, go ahead and try it, and some 14-year-old hacker in Finland will hand the presidency to Kylie Minogue.
I hate going inside a church as much as anybody, but I make exceptions to vote.

Some hacker would figure out how to ruin that for the rest of us.
But yes, probably more would vote. Then, if it was only offered online, some wouldn't vote. I live in a retirement area, and can't believe how many people have never used a computer.

Heck yes, people will vote for anything if it's online, that's why things like American Idol and Dancing with the Stars etc, have so much turnout, people don't have to leave the comforts of their own homes or offices.
Personally it wouldn't make much difference to me, I always make sure I vote, I was always taught you lose your right to complain if you don't vote to make a change.

Have we gotton so lazy that we can't even get off our fat butts and go vote?!? I say NO to online voting.. Geez if it is important then make thie time to vote. We already have early voting. I don't want ot see people vote for the sake of voting. It's too easy.

Hmm, I honestly don't think so.
Tossing aside the security issues for a moment (which are substantial)...there are still a LOT of people in the US who don't use computers to go on-line, mostly older people and poorer people who can't afford computers. Though the group *here* on Answers obviously uses computers on-line, it's not representative of the US as a whole.
It would be nice to have it be an *option* I think, but only if they can make it totally secure -- which, as a computer professional, I sincerely doubt can be done :(

Dragon votes now, but it would be very easy if she could just vote online. That would be nice. Dragon thinks more people would definitely vote if they could do it online.

No, they'd probably whine about how slowly the page was loading.
But seriously, no, it wouldn't make a difference. We already have the easiest way to vote - absentee - already in place and people won't get off their butt to mail it in so I highly doubt they'd sit at a secure sit and enter name, SSN, pin number whatever, just to vote.
They'd get distracted by what's on Oprah or Dr. Phil that day.

There would be too much fraud with online voting.
If you can't walk/bike/drive to your nearest polling station to vote on important issues then I really don't want you voting.
Make an effort.
Get off you @ss and vote.

Heck yeah!
You know how lazy people are. Why get off their fat-a$s and go out when they can shop from home, order food from home (or a drive thru).... why not vote from home too?? No wonder our country is so obese! lol (Sorry about the little tangent; it's true though!)
