It can be difficult when you get conflicting information from your OB, so if you are super desperate, I would suggest going to your local pharmacy and asking them what is safe to take during pregnancy, as they deal with these issues all the time. Here are a few things that have helped me so far... This sounds silly, but if your cough is keeping you awake at night, put vicks vapor rub on your feet and wear socks to bed... You may feel sweaty, but it helps to sweat the virus/cold from your body and you get a better night rest because you arent coughing so much! Anything lemon and honey is fantastic for sore throats etc that come with colds and coughs. Having steaming showers (not standing under the water, just being in the shower area with the water boiling hot) will help ease the nasal congestion. Drink lots of fluids (water is normally best) and eat oranges as they have lots of vitimin C which helps boost your immune system naturally! Good Luck hunni!
