I went to see it last night. It's only been out in that cinema for a couple of days and there were about 10 people watching it (including me). I found it mildly entertaining (but trying to be sensational).
Has anyone else been to see it and how many people were there with you! It certainly doesn't seem to be popular around here! (Ottawa)

I saw it near Chester in the UK on sunday afternoon. The screening was at least 3/4 full and people were laughing and commenting a lot on it. They all seemed to enjoy it as much as i did. I thought they portrayed Cherie Blair as very sarcastic, power hungry, but really common(just as I've always imagined her) and they were trying to portray Mr Blair as at least trying to keep the peace. I particularly liked the way the Queen knew he was more interested in trying to saving himself than her. Helen Mirren was amazing and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she gets an oscar nomination at least. The likeness was unbelievable. Glad to hear you saw it, I think it has been out for at least a month here already.

Yes I've seen it and I thought it was very good because I totally forgot that I wasn't watching the real royal family and that they were really just acting. Helen Mirren was amazing as the Queen and the Blairs were great too. People should watch it because it's not a stuffy, pretentious film about how wonderful the royals are. It circles around Diana's death and the way Tony Blair and the Queen deal with it publicly, plus there are many more funny bits than anyone would imagine!

I saw it in London several weeks ago- it had just come out and the cinema was pretty full.
I thought it was an excellent portrayal of the events in 1997. The cast was very good. Didn't think it was sensational at all -in fact i think it's pretty accurate.

yeah there was a few people in the cinema maybe 100 . i think the filmmakers were trying to make her majesty look like a human being with feelings.. they failed miserably .painting my hall way soon look forward to watching that dry,at least it wont be a total waste of my viewing time like the queen was .

I didn't care for it too much, meh. It was okay and hardly anybody in the audience. Don't think the film is going to do very well. Might have done better as a tv movie.

One of my husbands friends and clients Peter Morgan wrote it. He certainly seems to be getting a lot of press attention in London. He came to a house party I was giving and once gave me a copy of "When Martha Met Frank, Daniel and Laurence" another film he wrote and changed the name of Martha to mine and autographed it. I thought he was a really nice man.

Yeah I saw it - thought it was good - some parts were really moving - brought back a lot of the feelings about Diana - Helen Mirren was great.
