wat the heck is going on with ebay and ps3!!!! people r paying $$$1000$$$ + for a stupid game console that proberly only cost sony 200 bucks to make!!! my question is y would people do that? do they think once it comes out it will be $3000+ on ebay??? in my opinon people can be plain stupid. wat do u think?

and when 360 was being pre-orederd, people were paying no more than a $1000.

I don't care how stupid people are for paying that much, I plan on taking full advantage of them.

Sony is only making 400,000 right now to be released on November 17th. That's not very many when you consider the amount of game stores and walmarts etc... They will sell out in less than an hour at $600 for the more expensive PS3 and $400 for the less expensive one. Once they are sold out, Sony will not release more for up to a year. The people who are fortunate enough to buy one will resell it on ebay for whatever someone is willing to pay to not have to wait in line or wait a year. Its not that hard to understand. It comes down to a selling technique called supply and demand. The few that are made are a sure sellout, Sony makes its money, the middle men make theirs and the rest of us can't wait for the next batch to be released, thus starting the supply and demand process over again. A great way to sell a product. Just think back to how Nemo sold at Christmas a few years ago. Low supply, high demand. You had moms punching each other to get one for their kids. That seems crazier to me. Note: Sony doesn't make the money for the units sold on Ebay, the seller does. I will personally buy one and sell it on Ebay for as much as I can. I have done the same with sports tickets and made some good profits. Think about how much people pay for sporting events. To me that's even more stupid. At least a PS3 can be enjoyed more than once.

Yea I agree with you. People are pretty dumb if they pay that much for a console.Its not like its a pre sale kinda thing. they ship it to you on the 17th. so its nothing special . I rather wait till they find any bugs or defects and then ill pay the 599 dollars. Im smart arent I. LOL
