When the people forget the reasons the civilization exists, then it can die. Individuals today often go through the same process: a person "forgets" his or her reason for being and then veers off into destructive activities that result in death.

Many civilizations have lived and died. They were in declension and that needed an end.
A very ancient civilization was kept alive in the United States up until Kosmon,a little over 100 years ago. Another civilization is held there in another part of the world. It is to teach people that there are limits to which we can ascend on our own.
