0o, I have carpel tunnel- numbness in my fingers, hands, and arms, especially at night! I do have the wrist braces to use at night, but I find that I must use an elaveted pillow/wedge, and 2 pillows on each side of my body to rest my hands on, if I try to turn to either side, the opposite hand/arm will begin to hurt/burn, like when your foot falls asleep.
does anyone else suffer from this, and is there any vitamins that will help with my poor circulation.
any advice greatly appreciated.

Gurlfren, it sounds like you have some kind of pinched nerve to me. It doesn't matter what the diagnosis, if it's causing numbness, tingling and pain, it's in your nerves. GET SOME LYRICA!!! It blocks some or most the electrical signals to the brain. I take it for the same thing only mine comes with so much pain I lost my legal secretary job and ened up spending over a year holding my hands up like I had just "scrubbed" for surgery.

I thought it was carpal tunnel as well and so did the doctors. Then I got an MRI and found the herniated discs in my neck pressing on the nerve that runs down your arms. You need to see a neurologist if you have ins. or ask for an MRI to see where you're getting "pinched".

Good Luck!

Don't let this go, it only gets worse.

I think you should search for a Neurologist in your area. they specialize in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. You will need a referral from your reg physician, but that shouldn't be difficult to obtain. I don't think there are any vitamins per se that helps with the type of circulation problems found in CTS, but there may be medicines prescribed to help ease the pain. The neurologist will do a nerve conduction study to definitely diagnose the problem, then make a decision as to whether surgery is an option for you. This is assuming you haven't been previously diagnosed (I can't tell from your question).

I think there is two different types of carpel tunnel, one type causes numbness in the first three fingers and the other type in the the last two fingers of the hand. I would think if your whole arm is chronicly numb, I would think it would be a neck injury. If your arm numb and your are sweating and have shortness of breath, with chest pains, then its your heart.

It could be carpal tunnel, but i had the same numbness after my car accident and come to find out i had a herniated disk. go to web md and look it up (numbness in arms), and it will tell you the same thing. could also be a pinched nerve in your shoulder

You should definitely see a neurologist. This may be more than carpal tunnel. I would suggest you inquire about physical therapy as well. It would probably do you a lot of good.
