First of all...
I kicked and screamed all the way to the theater.
But it turns out...it was really good.
On a side note...
I took 2 doses of cough medicine before we went because I was coming down with something and I didn't want to have those movie "cough attacks". My hb worried the meds would make me sleepy and I wouldn't make it through the movie so he bought me a Red Bull...
I was fine all the way to the end of the show. But when the lights came on and I stood up...I was seeing bubbles and hallucinating.
So, to recap:
Go see "The Departed".
Don't take 2 helpings of cough syrup combined with a Red Bull.

I think that it is a scene to scene remake of Infernal Affairs from Hong Kong and if you really want to see a well made film, watch that instead. It's got some great actors Tony Leung and Andy Lau. Great Locations, HK and a great plot. It's spawned two sequels also. I guess if the departed does well, they can remake those too!

i think it was a very good remake of the original movie it was based on infernal affairs starring tony leung and andy lau. there is a a second film which is actually a prequal to this called infernal affairs 2. the only differance being the original was set around a triad gang.

People are saying great things about it. But I recommend the original Hong Kong flick it's based on, Infernal Affairs. Such a good movie.

I loved it! Overall it got great reviews and Oscar mentions which is always good. I thought it would be more of a guy movie but I enjoyed it!

I was skeptical, but me and my bf both really liked it. There hasnt been a movie like it in a really long time!

I saw it and expected it to be pretty dull to be honest but I would recommend it, I thought it was brilliant.

very good!!!! mark wahlberg was excellent and what can you say about jack nicholson the guys a true legend!!!
