Cloning means extracting the DNA from a living thing and using it to create creating a genetically identical copy.

As there are no flying pigs in existence there is nothing to clone to create one.

What I think you might be referring to is the potential creation of a CHIMERA. This is a blend of two creatures achieved by splicing together their respective DNAs. Obviously the resulting creature would no longer be a pig or, say, an eagle but might be something in between - a "peagle" perhaps. Conceivably the insertion of the genes which turn legs into wings and increase the flight muscles might just result in something like a flying pig - a frightening prospect! The main question is - would it taste like ham or chicken?

Apparently you missed the program on the Discovery Channel where they loaded up pigs in special crates and flew them (via a commercial jet) to Central and South America. So pigs CAN fly without cloning or genetic manipulation of any kind. :)

Nope, that's impossible. They have to tear down a pig genetically, thereby rendering the pig not a pig anymore. You can't just attach wings and see if it can fly...pigs are much too heavy and they'd have to have massive wings and wing muscles to overcome the effect of gravity on them. However, if you stick a pig in a plane it's already flying.

No way, Pigs is an animal and have feelings to they can feel the pain. Why should they Genetically engineered it,And that is against nature!

Nope. Even if you could mix and match as you suggest, the end result wouldn't be a pig anymore.
