I go for a walk, put a smile on my face, most times a smile gets returned by a passerby. Or go to my local park which has a variety of wildlife, it's lovely to see the animals . I may live alone but I am certainly not lonely, sometimes one can be in a crowded place and be lonely. loneliness is a state of mind.

It is kind of funny. I have given much thought to the difference of being alone and being lonely. I spend a lot of time alone, but rarely I am lonely. My alone time is always occupied by the things around me, the birds, the deer, the trees. Living in a less populated area is where I am comfortable.

I am also lucky in that I have a great family structure. My wife and children, surviving parents, a brother, and all my cousins. There would always be someone to help me through such times. Then to me there is another part of my family. To others it might sound silly. Our pets, our dogs and cats. They are family too. Sometimes they are the best ears to speak to when feeling lonely. For all they do is listen, then heal us with compassion.

I feel for those who live in populated areas and have no one. For truly that most create loneliness. To be surrounded by people and have no one to converse with. No family, no friends, no pets.I think would lead to the development of imaginary companionship.

One can be totally alone and not be lonely. Then one can be totally surrounded and be abandoned.

Cry and think about life as it passes me by. Then I come to realize life is too short to be lonely so I call up my brother and we talk about life. Then I hop on a train from a small town in Mississippi to new york one way stay for days just being alone. Just so i appreciate the real feeling of loneliness. Then I come back to my house up on a hill in a small town in Mississippi. I'm all alone in this world or so it seems. The world is at such fast paste I don't even pretend to try to keep up. The world moving around me like a world wind. and I and I just stand there alone and cold thinking about life as it passes me by.

When you feel alone you think that you are seperate from the world and it's people. The truth is you are always connected to everyone and the world, you just at that very moment don't feel that connection.
When I feel lonely I only look to see happiness. So I do or think only of those things or people that make me happy.
When you feel greatful, happy, and loving, you leave no room for feeling alone.
