Nothing good comes to anyone without sacrifice.
Look up to your forefathers that endured slavery so you could have the opportunities you do today.

Wow, that's is not the least bit true are you even Black?
Did you know that the "Trans Atlantic Slave Trade" was the biggest migration across the Atlantic? Did you know 12 million people serves as free labors for hundreds of years? Then their descendants too? Another 50 million died because of this, with that said how would any country in the Americas be if not for that? What would Africa Be like if 60 million blacks where still their and their descendants?
You make it sound as if America would STILL be the "land of the free" "land of opportunity" if Blacks where never here. That freedom came at the expense of your ancestors. They were victims of Americas hate for 400 years, for there own freedom. The whole economy of this nation build from slavery. Point is America would be a very different nation if not for it.
Secondly what make you think All Africans are poor? Bet you didn't know your more likely to meet African Americans with AIDS than anyone in Africa percentage wise. Did you know your 4 times more likely to face illegal slavery in the US, than any nation in West Africa? Did you know African America are just as likely to be poor and unemployed as Africans? Every year 250,000 Blacks-are killed by the 10 biggest killers of Blacks of all ages: heart disease, cancer, stroke, AIDS, accidents, homicide, diabetes, pneumonia and influenza, chronic pulmonary diseases such as asthma and bronchitis, and infant mortality. African-American men have the highest rate of prostate cancer in the world. For African Americans, high blood pressure is epidemic. It's the severe high blood pressure that leads to greater rates of stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure. Further, for African Americans, the darker the skin, the higher the blood pressure. Africans generally have low blood pressure.
If African American was a nation they will have among the worst health score of any country in the world.
In Order to deny the truth, they created a lie. They took one indigenous tribe in Africa who still had traditional or what they call primitive culture and said this is how ALL black skin people are. They all wear plates in the lips, swing from trees, don't have a written language etc etc.

it variety of feels which you're asking particularly approximately black slavery interior the U. S.. Slavery befell in many different communities and in many different international locations, yet enable's handle this question. If slavery hadn't befell, Africans might have started their emmigration interior the mid- twentieth century. particular, we would have a lots smaller black inhabitants, and black subculture may be much less assimilated to white subculture. Black subculture may be extra heavily tied to Africa than to the U. S.. we would lose a great volume of our musical subculture. this would be a puzzling question. There are issues (the two stable and undesirable) that could would desire to be faraway from our history if slavery replaced into got rid of. it somewhat is impossible to comprehend what the international might appear like. I from time to time try this in my own existence - i think of of an awful experience and then ask, "ok, if I hadn't experienced that, what might my existence be like now?" I unavoidably finally end up erasing the two stable and undesirable in this workout, and the comparable is genuine of racism, or of the Hollocaust, or of the Vietnam war, or of the different experience that has formed u . s .. As undesirable as dying, war, and oppression are, each experience has after shocks that reason unpredicted outcomes, the two beneficial and unfavorable. that does no longer supply them value.

Well here's the biggest misconception that people fail to comprehend. Afro-Americans are not the only race to be enslaved. Just about every ethnic group has at one point or the other. In as much; how can we know if the most talented resources didn't come to America, creating a vacuum in the various countries in Africa? In regards to AIDS; we are still in judgment to finding out if its a man-made disease. Lastly, I find it very challenging to excuse the actions of: murder, kidnapping, rape, torture, force labor, desecrating religious beliefs, dividing and splitting up families, and creating one of the most heinous crimes against humanity; for a few crumbs. You and I may be fortunate at this point; but as a whole, we have a long ways to go.

I think they would of came to the US eventually. (humans originated there)If you go back in history, not only were blacks segregated but other groups as well. The Irish especially. Many groups were treated terrible. There are still forms of modern slavery today. Examples human trafficking, in a way the working class, etc. SO it's thanks to all our ancestors (Africans, Italians, Irish, Polish, etc..)
small tid bit: Did you know parts of the Wall Street area in NYC is built over an African Burial Ground. During construction of a new site it was discovered. Many were young African children who were worked to death. Sad. They did not build over this area because the public found out and there were many protests.

I see your point, however... I don't really know how true that is. Yes, there is A LOT of poverty in Africa, however it was once a VERY rich land. We really don't know what the potential could have been back then. They didn't do us a favor by enslaving our ancestors.

Hey Rose who do you think you are? You and your dogmatic beliefs are voodoo to me. I was only asking a question. I read the Bible, but my common sense tells me its HOGWASH!!!! We can learn alot from Jesus , apparently you never did. Stone thrower. Slaves who never came to america would stand a good chance of starving to death- genocide-or A victim of the AIDS epidemic that is ravaging Africa. I feel bad for the slaves, but the descendants I dont.

I applaud you for going against conventional "wisdom" and for appreciating the country you live in. Any sane person will tell you that slavery anywhere in the world is repulsive, but it is also a fact that blacks in America can atleast know that they live in freedom, and not, as you say, in a place where corruption is the norm, where AIDS is an epidemic, where civil wars plague many places, etc.
