Do you really think they wanted to deal with blown-up blueberry children and golden hen eggs 24/7? Would you want to? Why or why not?

I don't think so. Oompa-Loompas lived in Loompaland, an uncharted place full of Snozzwangers, Hornswogglers, wicked Whangdoodles, and Vermicious knids, four classes of extremely dangerous creatures who preyed on Oompa-Loompas. In the film Wonka says that he met the Oompa-Loompas in his travels, and brought them from Loompaland to his factory for their own safety. So I think they're better off at the factory.

I don't think they were opressed. They prefered the life of hard work much better than being eaten by Snozzwangers, Hornswogglers, wicked Whangdoodles, and Vermicious Knids in their original home of Looma Land.

I wouldn't want to deal with that but I have a good job already and my existance isn't threatened by Snozzwangers, Hornswogglers, wicked Whangdoodles or Vermicious Knids...

I don't think they care, because Willy Wonka did save their lives from all those monsters such as the Snozzwangers, Hornswogglers, wicked Whangdoodles, and Vermicious knids, that would eat them on their island Loompaland.

.No way, the Oompa-loompas had a very strong union, in all reality, with all the grievances and arbitration and strike threats, Willy Wonka was their beeeyotch

I don't know how oppressed they were, they did bring it on themselves by being so infatuated with the coca bean. More power to em' I wouldn't have the tolerance.

They wanted to work there because of all the chocolate they got. I personally wouldn't want to because I hate chocolate with a passion. :]

It was better there than getting eaten by those critters on the island.
