Please don't go for laser treatment, as that would be permanent, and you'd be stuck with your 1990s baldness for good. Fashions are already changing back to hair because so many people are physically miserable with the whole shaving bit. Waxing is barbaric - you're pulling out hairs by the roots from one of the most senstive parts of your body - and having a stranger messing with your privates. EEEEEEEEwww! Shaving means, stubble, bumps, redness, scratching your crotch because it itches. It's gross. Keep the hair clean, but keep it!

I guess laser treatment would be the most effective and long-term solution to removing your pubic hair in a painless way. However, that costs a lot of money. You can also try these hair-removal lotions like Nair, where you leave the foam on and then scratch the hair off. However, sometimes the lotion causes irritation on the skin, and the skin in the pubic area is especially sensitive.
I know you are against waxing, but maybe I can change your mind. I was also terrified of it before I started, and thought that it must be the worst pain ever! In reality, the pain is the worst the first two times you do it, and after that it's less painful every single time. I've been waxing for about 3 years, and I notice that I grow less hair now. And by now, it's not even painful anymore. I just wax the area around the pubic bone, but not around the labia, because that's just extremely painful (I shave that area). Maybe give it a try by doing it yourself at home. I know, it takes tremendous courage to pull off the strip, but you will love the results and eventually it will keep on getting less and less painful.

Good luck, get it lasered off if you have the money, waxing lasts longer than shaving, yes painful. Use a good razor if you do it, fresh one every time.

they have something like nair... I forget what it relatively is called, regardless of if it works particularly nicely. it relatively is made basically for that area... you basically placed the cream on and leave it for like 10 minutes and then wipe it off with a heat fabric and it relatively is long previous!

The cheapest thing to use is a depilatory.
