I shop on eBay, have for over 5 years now. I feel like it's sort of going down hill though.

I have bought:

Renaissance gown
osh gosh b'gosh
baby gap
Tommy Hilfiger
quiksilver
lume gel nail kit

here this is my member profile, you can click on the item numbers and see everything I've bought since august!

I used to buy mainly books and DVDs on Ebay, but after a series of bad experiences, I no longer go there. For example, I would be the winner of the auction, but some owners never got in touch with me or answered my emails, and I never got the article. I would never buy clothes or cell phones on Ebay, because some of my friends have made horrible experiences with that. Some of the ware was badly damaged or torn or had a ton of scratches all over it. And sometimes, I thought I could trust someone who had a 100% positive feedback profile, but then they would wait 5 weeks until they sent the article.

However, I've also bought some great stuff on Ebay. I got a series of books that are no longer being printed, and they were in excellent condition. Generally, Ebay is a good idea, but it's hard to determine whom you can trust. You can find some great buys there, and if you're looking for something very specific and rare, you just might have luck on finding it at Ebay. However, I always check if the shipping price is worth buying the article at all, or if I'm better off finding the article somewhere else where it might be more expensive.

Yes, it's great when you're looking for a particular movie or CD that's been out for a while and not in stores anymore. I also buy gifts, like when I have in mind just what the person would want and don't see it in a store. Be careful though, some newer things you may think you're getting cheap, but once you add shipping, you're not getting it any cheaper than if you went to a store for it. I am always a comparative shopper.

A lot of the time, I start at eBay and search for whatever I am looking for at the moment (could be anything) and then I will search other places to compare prices. Normally, I can find it cheaper and for free shipping elsewhere. I just use eBay as a starting place for a starting price range.

Yes I do, all the time. I also sell stuff too.

I buy unique things--an out of print book that someone mentioned they'd love to read, a music cd of classical violinists that no longer exists on store shelves, jewelry (you have to watch yourself there!)...I prefer to sell tho.

My husband does a lot. He buys computer stuff mainly. He has bought me a case for my cell phone and a battery charger for my camera.

Everything...I have bought clothes, shoes, electronics, and painting prints. It is great, just make sure you review the seller by looking at their comments. It makes a difference.
