It's too early to play Christmas music in the office, but at home or in the car, Go for it! Yesterday I watched the first of many Christmas movies that I will watch this season.

Nothing wrong with having the Christmas Spirit all year long, but all songs get "old" after a month or so. Co-workers will end up subconsciously associating Christmas Music with "No fun at work." I'd give it a few more weeks.

yes it's too early to play Christmas music...because there is the holiday of Thanksgiving to celebrate first. "Next year" you can play your Christmas music starting the day after Thanksgiving, but this year you've probably ruined Christmas for everyone because the Christmas music is played so long, so often and everywhere you go that the Christmas music can really get to you. Do don't be too sensitive if you get ignored this year since what you did was unkool.

At first, I was dreading the sounds of Christmas this early in Nov. But after my husband and I were discussing the details to our annual Christmas party and what type of cards to send out, I kinda got into the mood. I could hear some of my favorite Christmas songs playing inside my head.
So who cares if it's too early to play Christmas music... If it bothers everyone around you, then play it through some headsets.

Oh I can tell you I love this question. I say there is not a limit to playing Christmas music. Or there is no day when it is too early or too late. You have your own choice. If you feel it then play it. Heck sometimes I even start decorating at this month...blah on those who want to ruin it for people. They have no say to tell you when you or when you can't play music or whatever. Go for it if it is what you want to do. Enjoy. You only live once.

Someone brought in a Brownies' Wordsearch with a Christmas theme to our office this morning to help the little brown devils raise funds. This resulted in a spontaneous outburst of Christmas Jingle singing which fairly got us all into a merry festive mood which lasted all of ... oooh ... at least 50 seconds when we all went back to our usual miserable modes and struggled through the rest of the day.

PS: YES ,,,, it is waaaay too early!!

Yes. Far too early. You can't prepare for a holiday untill the holiday previous to which has past. Thanksgiving is the next large scale holiday(for the states anyhow). Wait till approximatley 1-2 weeks before Christmas.

Unfortunately not everyone shows your enthusiasm for Christmas!! They see it as a chore and an expense with everything and want to put it off as long as possible. Have to admit I am a bit this way myself - not the chore but the expense of it and trying to find something for presents and not knowing what people would like. Once the music and the festivites start I am ok.!!! But not tooooooo early pleeeeease!!!!

Much too early.....by the time the festive season arrive you will be at the point of hating jolly festive music.

Why not have Snow Patrol/Arctic Monkeys/Motor-head or something other than Christmas music, continue as you are then Mr Claus might be visiting you in hospital.

Good Luck

It seems to me that this year CHRISTMAS is comming early. So this what i recommend. At work keep it to yourself not everyone is in the same page. Put some songs in your mp3 for your own enjoyment. When you're alone in your car, home, or any where else blast it as loud as you want. But then thats just me I started humming christmas songs by October.
