my lil cousin just had her 5th birthday on sunday and she got an 'mp3 player'. first of all what kind of 5 year old gets an mp3 player? anyway............i saw it yesterday at my paw-paws viewing. my other cousin who's 10 wanted to listen to it so i listened too. but the thing is she got alot of explicit songs on that mp3 player especially for a 5yr old and I'm 12. it's practicly telling her how to have sex. she got I Know You See It, Its Goin Down, Smack That, this other song from akon were he's like(i see u windin, and grindin, up on the floor, i know you see me lookin at you and u already know, etc) and other explicict songs. Second of all, what's a 5yr old doin listening to that kinda rap? Then we asked her who put it on. she say her mom whos 22. Third, what kinda parent puts these songs on their childs mp3? now that i've givin you all those questions plz answer them for me, and tell me what kinda parents she got. aereal sad she already got a bf and again she's 5!!!!!!!!!

well all i can say is her mother is going to have problems with her whne she gets older i would NEVER let my son who is 3 listen to that kind of music! or buy him an mp3 player for the simple fact hes wayyyyyyyyyy to young he should be into gi joes and your cousin should be into barbies please do not follow in her footsteps you have alot of life left to live and you sound like a smart 12 year oldgood luck and god bless!!! :) lita

That is sad. I don't know if there is anything you can do about it if her mother put the songs on there. How are you related to this cousin? If her mom is your mom's sister you might get your mom to ask her if she realized that those songs had such explicit lyrics. Tell her that you and most of your friends aren't allowed to listen to them and that the 5 year old might get in trouble if she were to take it to school or if some of her friends listened to these songs. I'll say this, at 12 you seem to be much more mature than this poor girls mom. And I agree with you. At five years old, she doesn't need an mp3 player. She'll probably end up damaging her hearing. And the whole bf thing, that is just sad. She should get a chance to be a little girl.

Darling I feel you 100%. I think that kind of behavior is absolutely crazy. Before I say anything else, I want to commend you on how mature and intelligent you are. You should be very proud. I am 24 years old and I don't have any kids, but if I did my 5 year old would be listing to "Ring Around the Roses" or something of that nature. Now to you question, the only answer I can give is a simple case of "Babies Raising Babies" that is why so many people try to help prevent teen pregnancy. Also even as an adult when we go to the Dr. we are encouraged to wait until we are positive that we want and are ready to raise children. People seem to forget that there is a difference in "having" a child and "raising" one. Sadly, this young lady does not understand. My advise to you is to use this as a lesson to you. When you are ready and decide to have a child you won't do these type of things. I don't even know you, but the fact that you are a young teenager and you know this behavior in outrageous says so much about you. I for one am proud of you, and you should be proud of yourself. *CHEERS*

it is nice that you are so concerned for your little cousins well being that is cool... maybe you should try talking to her mom about it obviously you have more wisdom to share then her 22 year old mother... or you can talk to your parents... help your cousin find some more suitable music.... but when it comes down to it your cousins parents are her parents and they will do as they wish... all you might be able to do is set a good example for her when you are around... tell her that music isnt cool ect.... some parents just may think that there child wont understand it so its not a big deal but sadly they are mistaken it looks like her mom is setting her daughter down the same path she took (getting pregnant young ect)

A lot f 5 yr old kids have MP3 players they want anything advertised on TV or that they see older children having. As for the songs she's 5 and doesnt understand what they mean. And a bf at 5 yrs old is nothing other then a play friend. I think your reading to much into it. Hell when I was 5 I was going to marry my bf Mike who was 6..lol

o my...maybe the five year old just got an mp3 because her mom wanted one, but that's just wrong. I mean, your only twelve and you see that its wrong. Have you told your mom or someone other than your aunt? maybe you should, or if your gutsy enough talk to your aunt about it. She definately has some explaining to do.

all i can really say is yeah she is too young to be listening to them kind of songs but you have to remember that she is going to hear them almost where ever she goes!...and last about her having a boyfriend, she is 5 she don't really know what a boyfriend is so i doubt its anything to worry about. She will get over it!..
