They are not on the finger nail side of my finger. The hand that I write with doesn't have them.

They are probably warts. Go to a health professional to check it out anyway, if you're not sure what it is. They may show you a simple treatment to get rid of it, or they may refer you to a dermatologist to apply some liquid nitrogen to freeze the wart off, it is a wart.

There is a home remedy that works pretty well. I had a wart on my knee that I got rid of by applying a small piece of fresh garlic over it--held in place by a Band-Aid®. Make sure to scrape the wart a little bit first, not enough to bleed, but just to "open" it so the garlic burns the inside of the wart. Don't let the garlic burn the "good" skin, though; make the piece just big enough so it covers the wart itself. Otherwise you may irritate your good skin. (Garlic is very strong.)

Another treatment is to take a piece of banana peel, use the inside part of the banana peel and hold it over the wart. Again, you can use a Band-Aid® or tape to hold it in place.

I tried all of these things on some pesky warts I had on top of my head--that's right, on my head. (I managed to spread the wart that I had on my knee by scratching it; then, I had scalp itch, and I scratched my head often. Eventually I must have scraped something up there and drew blood. Wart are caused by viruses, and they spread through the blood; so if you scratch the wart and pick up the "seeds" from it, then you scratch an open wound, you will spread it that way.) So, just make sure you always wash your hands after you touch the wart; don't scratch it--and always clean under your fingernails. That's the way my warts spread; I was always scratching. I could even see the little black seeds under my fingernails sometimes.

Warts look like cauliflower or broccoli. Sorry for my misspelling. But if it looks like the veggies from above, they do have creams, and freezers that get rid of them in several weeks. (more like 6 weeks) at most. They are not contagious unless they are planter warts, which more comonley are on your feet. Good luck and they wont kill you. Most everyone has one. I did.

Warts are small , round , and white generally. They are probably just from using your hands too much for something. Playing guitar or workign with your hands a lot can cause it.
