2/3(x + 8) = 6x

3(2/3)(x + 8 = 3(6x)

2(x + 8) = 18x

2x + 16= 18x

2x + 16 - 2x = 18x - 2x

16 = 16x

16/16 = 16x/16

1 = x

The answer is x = 1

Insert the x value into the equation
