Does anyone have any up to date information, pro or con, on the Dropa and Dropa stones?

I just got a great idea for a cartoon though I suspect it has most likely already been done. It shows two studious appearing attendees at a scientific convention on their home planet many light years from here. While listening to the latest theories on habitable planets elsewhere in their galaxy, one of the scientists turns briefly to the other and whispers, "I have yet to see any reliable or credible evidence that life exists on other planets." :-)
