I think they may be German/Austrian?? one is dated 1793

If all else fails, try asking at the University, I'm sure they might well have an archaelogist who specialises in numismatics (coins). Any advice they give would be unbiased as well. The phone number would be easily found, you could go through the switchboard for the department.

I don't know about Exeter for there are more than one. I live in New Hampshire and there is an Exeter here but you may be from GB. You do need to go to a world coin dealer though. German states coins especially large silver ones that old, have value some times in the $100's of dollars range. Grade and how rare it is determines value. There are dealers in GB, you can find them in the phone book, or check with a local coin club. There are some big world coin dealers in London. If you live in the States Email me and I will get you some address or with more info give you an approximate price.
