I just saw a poll this morning, 11/07/2006 and there were still undecided voters. How can you be undecided on election day. If you're not swayed by political ads (which I have never been either way) Why don't people go online and do alittle research and make a decision. Are people really that indecisive that they don't know how they feel on issues? How can you not know if you support Stem cell research or not ( I'm not making a Judgement either way) but you should know for yourself. Or Gay Marriage? Or taxes for one reason or another? Or the Republican or Democrat canidate? (or Green, independent, liberaterian, or any other party out there.) So my question is how can you be undecided?

I agree with many of your points that you bring up, but then again...here is a good reason why people might be undicided....

Democrats and Rebulicans are very close on the issues.....many of them are very hard to tell apart. I know that the republican party claims to be conservative, but I haven't seen anything conservative in the Bush administration. National Defense is not a conservative or a liberal issue in my eyes...It's an American issue. But unfortunately many Democrats want to cut and run from Iraq, causing even more problems in the middle east.

Well, I did end up voting for almost all the republicans on the ballot this year. I voted for one Democrat and one Libertarian.

I need a new party....If the Fair Tax orginization would start a new party....well, I would be there.

I guess what I am trying to say is, both of the major parties are money and power hungry...... Take away their tax power on the public and America will grow so fast.....It would be unbelievable.

Just one honest guys opinion....

There are many, many reasons why a person would be undecided.

1. True, a person can do research into the parties. But remember that half of the research will show positive results for the candidate; these results were provided by supporters of the incumbant. The other half will be negative; these results are provided by the opposing candidate. Most Americans know that what they learn about the candidate, no matter what the source, that it is swayed and doctored by one side or the other. They remain undecided because they don't know who to believe.

2. Many undecideds DON'T know where they stand on issues. Take stem cell research, for example. A person might agree that stem cell research can hold the key for medical advancement, but would disagree about the methods to obtain the stem cells. On the issue as a whole, would this person agree or disagree with stem cell research?

3. Many undecideds are so disillusioned with politics that they frankly don't care. They haven't followed who the candidates are, what they stand for, or what the issues even are.
