Some famous people do actually have a myspace account thats if it is official they mainly use it to promote their work, music etc but i imagine it isnt actually them that are sat at the computer putting the thing together, they'd have some1 do it for them.
There are some so called celebs like ex big brother contestants etc who have an account and that probably is them as they are looking for more fame.

Myspace is not different from Yahoo or MSN or anything else. You just have to take the time to read and see if you can figure out who the real ones are. They will usuallly have something on their page that will prove their identity.

As to whether they do their own pages, who knows? Myspace is fun, and I see no reason why they can't take part too.

There are a lot of celebs on myspace and then there are a lot of fakes , you just gotta be smart enough to figure out which is which.

Do you really think that famous people have time for myspace?

Yeah its them sometimes, but not always, the bands usually are, though I know that they have people a lot of the time watching for them and posting gig info.

Others are usually fake, I thought I was chatting to jonny depp once (how happy was I, but at the same time how stupid!) only to discover that it was a greasy mook from finland! needless to say was promtly deleted!

I think they employ people to manage their MySpace pages.

Lily Allen certainly has someone managing hers as does Imogen Heap.

THERE ARE MORE FAKE MYSPACE ACCOUNTS OF CELEBRITIES THAN REAL MYSPACE ACCOUNTS OF CELEBRITIES. AS YOU TOUR THE SITE, YOU CAN FIGURE OUT WHICH ONES ARE LEGIT. THERE ARE THINGS ON THE PAGES THAT WILL PROVE THAT THE SITES ARE FAKE. LIKE THE SITE THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE TYLER PERRY'S PAGE, BUT WITH MADEA'S PHOTO. I KNOW HOW TYLER PERRY SPEAKS AND WHEN I FIRST ENCOUNTERED THE PAGE, I KNEW IT WAS NOT REAL.

Many of the so-called celebs are using staff members to post on the internet, just as they do to handle mail in fan clubs

Some of them are some of them not. A lot of artists use it to promote their bands and they are real as it is a good way to get noticed.
Richard and Judy did an article on my space in their last series and they use it especially Richard.
One our local DJ goes on there and loves it chatting to everyone thinks he is cool to have hundreds of young friends lol
Chris Daughtry who was kicked off American Idol unfairly he and his band use it.
I think you have to use your common sence as to who is real and not and how do we know that one of us are not famous on here?
