I love myspace...had one for over 2 years. I keep my profile private & just add ppl I know in person. There's ways of keeping the crazies away...in your account settings, check the box so bands can't add you & ppl who don't know your last name or email addy can't add you...along w/the private profile.

I think Tom & the gang have done a great jpb to keep things as secure as they can. The risk rests in the hands of the person making the myspace. If you put all your info out there, then yes there is a risk.
I think people should use more common sense when they are doing things, instead of complaining and attacking a good thing.

I can't stand it anymore because of the drama! Security is virtually impossible in this technology age. If someone wants to find you that bad, they don't need myspace to do so. I hate that people talk smack and leave insults and posts blogs about each other- it should be called drama space. but other than that there's nothing wrong with it if you are amrt enough to stop and think about what you post!

I agree with everyone else, it just depends on what all you put on your myspace page. Yeah if you put your address and cell phone number, you might get the occasional weirdo who stalks you, but you won't have a problem if you don't do it. So it's all about being smart and not putting personal information on the page.

it all depends on what you will put in your myspace account. After all, people can only get from you what you give them. I personally think myspace is a bit overhyped, but thats just my opinion (I'm a web designer).

It all depends on what you put on there.
I have no personal information on my MySpace account and it works just fine.
Also, I haven't heard of any actual security issues. They are usually hoax's.

If you are satisified with your myspace experience thats all that matters. If others don't like myspace they can stay off, its just that simple.
Remember: DONT TALK TO STRANGERS, IT'S POINTLESS.

As long as you don't give someone your home address or anything to give them a hint to where your house is, you should be fine. Also don't give them your last name. I have one and I love it also. I keep in touch with my friends and family on it.

Chat is risk, only if you really meet the virtual people.
