Under leaves, on walls in the shade, to the compost pile, and most especially to the lettuce or strawberry patch! They are a big pest for vegetable gardeners.

I will tell you where the little cretins go!!! My blooming kitchen!!
Im sick of nipping into the kicthen to go outside for a *** and there be a slug or snail there waiting to eat me!
There was ine the other week it was that big I took a picture of it and sent it to all my friends just to prove that there are getting bigger by the hour, then the slimy slug adopted an attack posture which left me in fear of my life! God I havent been that scared in ages,
I even stood on a snail once by accident when I was in the kitchen, I didnrt mean too, but luckily I had socks on but that was truly an emotional experiance that I wouldnt wish on anyone!
So if you want some slugs or snails have no fear as I have plenty to go around, and I think that the ones that come knocking on my door are immune to salt !!

They usually hide away in moist areas which are out of the direct sun. Snails can pretty much survive in open areas as long as they are sealed by slugs will dry out a lot quicker and therefore will seek shelter i.e. underground and in the narrowest of crevices.

Slugs live underground in the soil and tuck themselves under stones and bricks, they come out if they get too wet to look for a drier spot.
Snails climb up off the ground, they like to hide in ivy, behind the shed or in any other sheltered place; you find them in huge clumps all stuck together if you're unlucky.

mainly either under stuff or back down into the most. Most slugs live in the soil and you never see them. There just surface if the ground is moist.
