If so, how do you think they did it? And, what site do you think it was on?

hi .david this is a big problem on internet if using credit card . there are virus trojans & keyloagger that may be on a pc at the time of using credit card & also some pc online stores that say you can download software but must use ur credit card to buy from there website. what will happen from some is . they will use ur credit card number to buy things with so it is verry unsafe to use ur credit card online . it is best to go to a store and buy from there .,then if someone at that store does ues ur credit card you can put a stop on.da card and have the store done where as online store tyou can email them but get no reply so credit card online is not safe if someone online as used ur creditcard put a stop on that card fast

to alert the ebay community. Since most regular ebay users have a paypal account this information may be very valuable. It will present itself in a very official email of the receipt of a paypal payment from your account. When you open it , a very authentic looking paypal statement will appear. It will be for an item that you havent bought or even looked at, and will be for a more than nominal amount. On this invoice there will be a button that states if you did not pay for this item click here, on the premise that you will be opening a dispute. The next page you will see will be a VERY authentic looking paypal login page-very familiar to all paypal users. After entering account, password and login button , you will land on an empty link and you may even backscreen and make another attempt. What you have essentially just done is furnish an unscrupulous individual with access to your paypal account and all banking items that may be linked to it, including a wealth of personal information. If you indeed fall into this trap you must immediately change your password. In doing this make sure you login with the link that is available on the left column of your my ebay page, as this is probably your most secure link. You should always access your paypal account from your ebay page.Keep in mind that these type of scams are very hard to detect and for the most part are originating outside the US, from cybercafes and untraceable IP

Yes.

This is how Paypal, and Ebay hackers do it: You get an e-mail warning you that your account is in suspension, or will be if you do not update it. It looks just like an authentic e-mail because it has the same logos. You click on the link, that takes you to a sign up window, type in your informatin and that's how they got you and all your information

Or you get an e-mail from a bidder for something you didn't bid on, or posted.

So, never go to those sites from an e-mail. Always log in by typing the address directly in teh search string.

No, my credit card number 5600 6579 1453 6503 and password 9129 have not been stolen before.

Joke!!!, they are not true of corz :)))

Well, I never used and bought anything with my cc number on the internet and I will not. I think its impossible to be 100% safety.

Good luck...
