If we do that, I'm just concerned if i have to stay in the shop overnight, as the parts aren;t available.

I don't think they have hourly rates. I think they get paid by procedure. My dentist always gives me a treatment plan after my check up so if I have to have any work done they give me a print out of how much each is going to cost me before insurance and how much I have to pay out of pocket for all of the work.
