I voted absentee. I don't know if it will make any difference, but I did vote. Did you use the same day registration or is that available in your state? It isn't available in Texas (yet).

FozzieBear- I agree with you. Additionally, I have heard about touch screen problems with voting. I, however, opted for the paper ballot route. Yes, there are powers that be that deny us a voice (even though we vote) however, we can vote another way- with our pocketbooks. That way you can TRULY make a statement on how you feel about certain issues.

I used early voting. Come early --avoid the lines. It took me longer to read the ballot than I stood in line.

Election day registration has more potential for cheating than touch screen machines that leave no paper trail. Both of those are stupid ideas and only work in Utopia, which the US isn't.

I will vote tonight after work.

Same-day registration should not be available anywhere. If you can't get your act together ahead of time, you shouldn't get to vote. This is a privilege and a responsibility that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Same-day registration just opens the doors wide open for fraud and takes extra manpower that should be used making sure everything else is running smoothly.

I voted early, last Thursday. I have been registered to vote since I turned 18, renew it or change it when applicable so same day registration has never been an issue for me. In Texas when you update your driver's license now they ask if you want to re-register I say yes.

I voted. I have been a registered voter here since we bought our house 8 years ago, but the same day thing in Texas sounds great.

NO EXCUSES - go vote.

The link below will tell everyone their polling place, its hours and even have sample ballots for every district in the entire country.

I've been doing my own extensive research into politics. It has all become corporate controlled and we really don't have a choice. We are all given the illusion that we have the right to choose, but we don't. They choose to give themselves raises and then raise our taxes. They bombard my television with bogus adds about their running mates. Vote for me I'll do this. Yeah whatever. It is all big bussiness corps. who have their own agendas in mind. All these politicians and presidents with Nazi family historys. They have trojan horsed their way into our Gov't. and secretly run the show. So wave the flag and put on your I voted today sticker, if it will make you feel better about not really wanting to know.

I went to my polling place and voted in person today, and I'm proudly wearing my "i voted!" sticker. I registered when I renewed my driver's license. Same day registration isn't available in IL.
