I used to have some of those. In fact, I think we used to have pretty much everything you have mentioned. Does that mean I'm old?

I remember them. Two giant marbles at each end of a string that you attempted to "clack" together. They were fun if you hurled them at someone or held them close to someones face. And if you threw them hard enough you could smash a window. I think the lawsuit stuff was real and you were a "spaz" if you couldn't get them to "clack" right.
They were not as much fun as lawn darts. At least with those you could impale your friends and cause severe bleeding and blame it all on a simple back yard game.

Oh, I remember them, and yes I remember something about the plastic balls shattering, but I don't know if there was a lawsuit. I think the name of the toy was "Click Clacks."
