For one, procreation is a natural thing - assuring the continuance of a species type of thing, it's simply instinct.
That said, women are not necessarily "easy," because many of them know the people they have sex on the first date with for quite some time, through school, work, mutual friends, etc. They are also not "quick to spread disease and get pregnant," as you stated. Women are typically proactive in their health care, using birth control, condoms, and the like.
While this is a Women's Studies issue, the finger needs to be pointed equally at men, and for the same reasons.

Women may not be the sole culprits in the spread of disease and pregnancy. Have you realised that males are involved also, it is as much the males responsibility as it is the females.
And if men chose not to have sex with women on the first date would the women be seen as easy? BEar in mind that the woman is as much of a stranger to the man as he is to her.

Lack of self esteem, and confusing sex with love.
Yes, it would be better if they waited, however, it would be better if the men also waited, we can not place this all on women. If the two people involved are seeking a relationship of-course one would want to wait to develop a foundation for the relationship. Just my opinion. God bless

Are you only hanging out with those 23%? You make it sound like it's "all women". Perhaps you should change your friends. The other 87% surely have to have more self-respect than those you speak of. Stop hanging out with them, you'll be less diseased, and you won't be a father too many times. :-)

The media has women convinced that everyone else is doing it. Women are more easily swayed in such a fashion. Men are swayed by their sex-drive and the immature way in which they handle it.

they watched too many episodes of "sex and the city".
i always tell a guy on the first date that i am not into casual sex & make sure that i do not drink too much on the first date - most guys i date are lucky if they even get a kiss from me on the first date - i like to take my time & 99.9% ask for a second date.

And you are from Mars I take it.
All jokes aside, yes, if women would show more respect for themselves then men would have to rise to the occasion.

23% is high? What about all the times I said no, that should help the ratio.
*86% of all men are willing, while 22.4% of women will comply
(I tried it with a moonman but he said no)
