water damage is not the end of the world.first turn it off and DO NOT turn it on again until...
1. you've pulled apart the fone as much as you can without actually taking a screw driver to it.
2.wipe as much visible moisture off the surfaces of the fone parts.
3. put in a warm place.a radiator will do BUT make sure it is warm only and not hot.
4. allow to fully dry out for 3 or 4 days or for as long as a week if the fone took a really good soaking.the air needs to get right inside the components.
5. put it all together and turn it on.
6. if nothing happens or its not working properly follow steps 1 to 5 again.
Hopefully this will do the trick.good luck

I dropped my phone in water a few weeks ago and it got all crazy on me. I opened it up, took out the battery and left the battery cover off for 2 whole days. I also used my hairdryer on it's cool setting at a low speed to dry some of the internal mechanisms. Try that. If it still doesn't work, it probably never will.

My nokia went through the washer and survived.

Take the battery and sim card out of the phone, and leave the phone and bits you've removed somewhere warm...but not too warm. It might take a few days for any moisture to evaporate but it's worth a try.

I went for a drunken swim in a river with my mobile in my pocket - not clever! However, it works again now. Take it apart, take the battery and the sim out and put it all in the airing cupboard, or alternatively on top of a radiator. However, if the battery has green crust type stuff on it then thats acid and the battery is leaking and therefore broken. The battery is replacable through www.nokia.co.uk.

Well my boyfriend dropped his in the bath and then tried it out using hairdryer then radiator it worked for a few months then just started turning itself off etc, He took it to get repaired and they said that water damage causes rust within the phone.
So you might get a few months out of it but you'll have to buy a new one soon.

I accidentally put my partners phone through the wash one day. Dreading telling him I thought I'd see if I could dry it out first and placed it on top of the radiator - it worked like new the next day - I couldn't believe it! The screen did all steam up but it goes away so don't panic. Good luck!

Take the covers off, remove the battery and Sim card and put it in the airing cupboard for a few days. If it doesn't work when you put it back together you'll be needing a new phone.

You can try taking the whole phone to bits and sitting it on the heater mite work but when my old phone got damaged i had to buy a new one because the water frazzles all the circuits.
