Here's my list...
The Bellagio fountains. Plan on spending lots of time there. It's absolutely awesome...

Freemont Street Experience downtown....
http://www.vegasexperience.com/
All the of the major hotels. Be sure to walk around inside all of the newer ones and allow plenty of time. With a little gambling, a couple of drinks and the walk to get to each one you can kill more time than you can even imagine. Here's a couple of maps. The second site is a map and has 360 degree photos that you can play with...

Volcano at The Mirage...

M&M World. You don't need much time there but it's interesting to see...
http://www.vegas.com/attractions/on_the_strip/mandmworld.html
A couple of shows. I'd highly recommend one of the Cirque de Soleil performances. My favorite is Mystere at Treasure Island. "O" is also worth seeing but is not quite as good, although still excellent...

For any of the major shows you need tickets well in advance. I wouldn't book many shows as you'll need more time than you think to walk around and see everything. We go every year, sometimes twice, and still don't book shows for every night. There just isn't enough time for everything!
Even though you are females I would also definitely see one of the old time shows like The Folies at Tropicana (oldest topless show on the strip) or Jubilee at Ballys...

You might also enjoy one of the many impersonator shows or a male strip show. Here's a site with a list of the best shows...

Here's a couple of sites with lists of attractions. The first one shows over ONE HUNDRED things to do!

This is a good site to get show information but you'll do best by booking major shows directly with the hotels. You can often discuss seating and request what you want. Once you arrive you can arrange for the less expensive shows or even buy discounted tickets near the "big Coke bottle."

Free places and cheap places...

This one is a must... It gives you all kinds of advice so click around. There isn't much this site doesn't offer!

And... You gotta eat! Make sure no matter what that you try the Bellagio buffet. You can save a bundle by going in around 2p and taking your time. Lunch costs around $18 and dinner is nearly $30. By going in at 2p you'll get in before they cut off lunch pricing (even if there's a line) and the full dinner buffet is set up by 4p (including the giant King crab legs). Consider this an experience and an adventure. Relax, take your time and sample as much as you can. There's no way you can taste everything so eat s-l-o-w-l-y. We've been known to spend 3 hours there.
Here's the top 10 deals in Vegas. It changes monthly so check back often. We've never been burned by following this list. We always eat at Ellis Island....

Here's the ratings on the buffets. Stick to those ratest highest or you'll live to regret it. But remember... These ratings come from all kinds of people so consider the source! Many downrate Bellagio because they have no taste! Cheap food in Vegas is pretty much lousy these days...

Shopping?

As far as clubbing is concerned... I'm a bit beyond that but I hear the Hard Rock is THE place to go. I'm sure someone younger will have lots of information for you.
Have the time of your life!

I live 50 miles from Vegas, I moved here 5 years ago, and to this day I am still awed when we drive over the mountain and Sin City comes into view. It's like being transported into the twilight zone. Don't make plans....wait until you get here....there is soooo much to see and do. But a must is the craps table at the Imperial Palace, you could end up rubbing shoulders with celebrity's shooting, and YELLING "hard eight"
You can get a Limo for 80 bucks an hour, split 4 ways not bad at all! Then you could come here to Pahrump and, visit the legal brothels and get a Tshirt.
Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
What happens in Pahrump is all over town in around in around 5 minutes!
Have a great time!

Go to Cayote Ugly inside of New York New York. One of the better bars. Get there early to avoid standing in line all night. Also, check out some of the free stuff. People often overlook the freebies: wild animal exhibits, M&M World, water show at Belligio, volcano at The Mirage, TI pirates show, etc. And the lost cost things: shark reef at Mandalay Bay, Luxor attractions, wax museum at the Venetian. Also, try to see "vintage" Las Vegas by going downtown, as well as the shows on the strip.
The food varies. Try the buffet at the Rio. They have the regular one and an all seafood buffet.

Commanders Place Lunch meal. Get .25 specialized martinis with that $15.00 lunch meal. Approx.price. Inside Aladdin Casino, soon to be the Planet Hollywood Casino.
The wax Museum at outside the Venetian.
Stay away from Circus Circus Buffet, Frontier Buffet, Sahara Buffet.
Longer walks than expected. Wear good shoes made for walking.
Monorail ride is available on East side of strip. From MGM to Sahara Casino with stops inbetween.
Bring cash, not coins. Most machines are ticket in/ticket out. Cash accepted at slot machines, not debit/credit cards.
Sign up for the slot clubs card. Sometimes free gambling cash given up, like up to $10.00

It's a big place with way too many choices. Here's a thought: Make your home-base the Rio Suites Hotel/Casino. Pretty reasonable rates (as low as $49) if you are able to choose to come on a non-busy time of week. This one casino hass all of the following:
*Huge rooms,
*Nice sized pool (can get crowded)
*the free "masquerade show" several times a night,
*the "Chippendales" floor show and gift shop,
*one of Las Vegas's top night clubs "the VooDoo Lounge" (located on top f(51st) floor of hotel - great view)
*free shuttle buses every 20 min. to a number of top Strip casinos

Have dinner at the Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay. Great food.
Take the latest seating (8pm reservation I think). Enjoy a nice relaxing dinner (try the corn fritter fried calamari).
Then, it turns into a dance club at 10. Since your already in, you won't have to pay the $20 cover or wait in line.
It's a great club, good food and amazing atomosphere. Great rum drinks!!!
When we were there 2 years ago, they had a private party for the Mosley fight. I met Michael J. Fox, Jamie Fox, Mosley, a bunch of rappers, and basketball players and Christina Aquilera.

There's this giant overhanging screen over part of a street downtown, the name escapes me now. They have live bands and they're projected on this huge overhang covering at least a few blocks. Bars galore! It's like Mardi Gras! It's packed through the streets. It's definitely a fun time, trust me!
Also there's the Stratosphere, which is like an amusement ride and it takes you high above the city. Have fun!

take in as many shows as possible. "O" at Bellagio is awesome, see the grand canyon, hoover dam, downtown vegas, there is every store imaginable for shopping and every hotel has lots of bars and clubs but be prepared to wait in lines for about an hour to get into each one.
