Why do you think it works out that way?

Because liberals think with their heart, and conservatives think with their heads.

It feels really good to get together with a bunch of people that think the same way that you do - especially when you get attention like you do when protesting. However, it doesn't change anything. You are almost always preaching to the choir.

Conservatives are logical. When they want change, they don't get together and have a parade, they actually do something that will make a difference. Voting is about a million times more powerful than protesting, and it doesn't require a permit.

Considering how close the elections have been over the past decade I think that both vote in nearly equal numbers. I do think that Conservatives vote slightly more then Liberals. However, I don't view peaceful protest as a negative. I do believe that voting is a much better way to influence government decisions. I just hope that the majority of Americans voting today vote based on the issues and not the party.
