Change the lobbyist system. Money should not be the deciding factor in legislation.
Secure our borders (20% of Mexico's entire population lives here!!! This despite the fact that Mexico has a higher per capita income that the global average!!)
Punish representatives who commit crimes, do not simply change the laws to make it look like "something was done"
Stay in Iraq until it is stable. It took over 20 years for Japan and Germany to become successful, and we STILL have bases in each (and Germany is desperately afraid to lose them.) Do not leave before the job is truly finished (say, around 2021).
Make news outlets non-profits so that they will no longer sensationalize the news for better ratings. We deserve real facts, not editorials and "if it bleeds, it leads".
$2.4 TRILLION dollars is enough. Cut taxes, cut programs, cut wasteful spending, cut pork barrel projects, and quit buying votes with these hand-outs.
Remove the rules that favor the two-party system. Third parties deserve equal footing, especially now, since neither party is being very responsive to its main constituencies. (The socialist liberals and the evangelical conservatives probably represent 10% of the entire nation, but only their views are getting any attention nationally.)
That's just for starters. Call me when you get those done and need more ideas.
