They claim that you can get tomato stains out of tupperware by using bleach water and letting it soak.
I have tried this and have come to find out that it doesn't work so well for me.
Maybe because I microwaved the tomato sauce into the plastic.
Now I just buy the cheap ones---and only use one for tomato based lunch.
I know I wasn' t much help but I can't lie!!!
Sorry!!!

For the older Tupperware that has tomato stains, use Cascade Plastic Booster. It sells at the stores for around $4 but Tupperware has it for only $2. Tupperware makes pieces now, called Rock 'N Serve, that do not stain, are for the dishwasher, fridge, freezer and are microwave-safe (no pthalenes that leak into your food!). Get yourself some of these for the future! They are SOOOO versitile that the cost is worth it! They are also guaranteed for life from chipping, peeling, cracking and breaking! How cool is that?! To order online, go to the following link, then click on 'shop'. To get out a pre-existing tomato stain, it's generally true that your best bet is a bleach/water mixture, though it isn't always guaranteed to work on old stains. I've found that if you hand wash dishes that have been recently colored by tomato products using Dawn dishwashing liquid with bleach alternative, the color will come right out...just make sure you wash it relatively soon after using it.

I put up with it, but peroxide is a great stain remover. You can pour straight bleach in there and let that soak too, it may take a day or two but the stain should go away. I have put it in dishes and it has taken the stains out. I leave it sit and use it full strength.

The only thing that has remotely worked for me is to soak it overnight with a water/bleach mixture.
