does anyone know where to go look for history on when the last solar and lunar eclipse happened?

my daughter has a project to find out when the last eclipses happened in our home town?????????????

The US Naval Observatory has this information. Each eclipse in the table has a map you can click on to see where on Earth it could be seen.

You can search the Internet. I'm sure that there is a site where you can get a listing of all eclipses, past and future.
