If this is an interviewer for a new position then I would answer that question by stating that the position didnt utilize your talents as much as you wished, that it was not a challenge mentally and that it had no place to "climb the ladder" because of closed off higher positions.

I might answer that the position was limiting. If you didn't like something in particular state in the most positive way you can.

Or answer with what you like more...If they stood over you in a micro-manage sort of way - say, I prefer a more independent work environment where I can use my problem solving skills.

When it gets down to it...with my current employer I was straight up honest and said...I just don't like screamers...if you are a screamer...don't hire me please! It worked and I have been there 3 years and I love it...AND they don't scream! LOL :P

Trying to learn a new computer application and be trained, while having a little 22 year old over my shoulder micromanaging me. I couldn't even go 20 feet for a cup of coffee for my desk without her ragging on me to check the faxes which I'd already done. I left that job. There was a lot more, but I won't post it all, it would take too long. I hated her.
