Anaheim may have possibly the best defensive duo in a long time and alot of speed, but Buffalo also has plenty of speed and lots of skill in the net. Who would you choose?

Buffalo, hands down, even with afino and numminen out, they brought in stafford who is an awesome player from the rochester amerks (who were also 10-0), lindy benched peters and brought in paille, these guys are awesome..., i know Lindy is working on this groups penalty killing tactics now during practice, Friday will show the progress, watch the game against Florida to see a blow out. Sabres Vs. Ducks for the cup ---- Sabres 4 Ducks 2 regulation

Here's an assessment from Sharks country. I've seen nearly all Sabres and Ducks games this year (NHL Center Ice). I'd rate goaltending a toss up. Both have been excellent. Sabres definitely have better offense through all four lines, and probably better balance throughout the lineup; Ducks would have the edge on defense solely because of their top 2. Sabres are the most exciting team in the league, bar none. More fun to watch than any other team by far; however, head to head, although I'd cheer for the Sabres, I think the Ducks would prevail. I think the size and mobility of Anaheim (and San Jose's quick defense) could offset Buffalo's speed. But it sure would be fun to watch. I think the Sabres would also have a tough time with Minnesota's trap (as did Anaheim). I'd like to see the Sabres or Sharks take the Cup this year, but my bet is on the Ducks.

But if you ask me who I'd rather watch, I'd rather watch this year's Sabres team than any team since Gretzky's Oilers.

I have been to every Ducks home game this year and it is hard ot argue with no regulation losses. OT is a problem for the team, as evidenced by last year, and their start this year. I have much respect for what the Sabres have done so far this year, and think that they will run away with their division. I would love to see a Sabres/Ducks cup in '07 and I think that in that series the Ducks have the edge, sorry Buffalo. Speed + Defense = Stanley Cup Championship!

I can't believe Buffalo let Jay McKee go. Big time error. I think Anaheim will get alot of favouritism from the refs because they have 2 of the most respected players in the NHL. Combine that with the fact that they have one of the best divers in the league in Selanne and you can see where this season is going.

Buffalo needs a big time defenseman. They have a balanced team but there's something missing. Maxim is hurt but losing McKee was huge. Might have cost them a cup.

Well, I'm in Buffalo right now....but that being said wouldn't it be great if the current NHL schedule allowed these two teams (and others in the east/west) to actually play a game here and there?

I love love love my Sabs, the Ducks are awesome. I remember when you played every team twice, we should at least play every team once during the regular season.

I'll pick Buffalo out of loyalty. But stick with my rant about the stupid scheduling of the NHL.

Sabres.

They have more of a complete team. They do not just have 2 defensemen. They have six. They also have four lines that can skate against any line on any team. Yes they have injuries now, but it is better than in the playoffs like last year. They also have terrific organizational depth so when guys like Tallinder and Max get injured other players step up and produce. How do you think Roy and Pominville, two main stays in the lineup, got their chance. And last but sure not least they have 2 goalies that are starters, Miller would start on any team and Biron would start on most.

Ducks vs Sabres in cup 07

the ducks, by far. They have Pronger and Niedermayer, the best two defensemen in the nhl. Teemu Selanne, Andy McDonald, Chris Kunitz, and Todd Marchant are all great scorers. Ryan Getzlaff, Corey Perry, Dustin Penner, and Ryan Shannon are some of the best young playersin the league. Getzlaff or Perry will one day shatter all of gretzky's records. I haven't decided which one will do that yet. Bryzgalov and Giguere are the best goalie tandem in the game, plus Randy Carlyle is a great coach. Ducks will win it all this year, plus they still haven't lost a game in regulation yet this year and they have more points(26) than any other team in the league.

haha yeah...bryzgalov and giguere are definatly not as good as miller and biron. you duck fans are so full of yourselves, you think you have the greatest team...but if you lost one of your big 2...you would be trash...buffalo by far is the better team...they have all the great players from rochester if they get injured at all. Biron and Miller are the best duo in the league and ive heard it a few times. My pick for the final is Buffalo and Minnesota....buffalo in 6

I would say Ducks as of right now. The Sabres lost Kalinin and Afineginov not to long ago.

I would say the Ducks they have a stronger defence with Niedermayer and Pronger, plus Bryzgalov looks like a better goalie than Miller
